Woodford County Historical Society

 

The Woodford County Historical Society has a program that will allow you to leave a permanent mark on Woodford County History: a brick engraved with your name or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember.

Each brick measures 4"X8"X2½" and is an attractive antique red color which closely matches our brick building.  The engraved bricks will be placed at the base of the flagpole located at the southeast corner of our property at 121 Rose Hill in Versailles. 

An engraved brick may be the perfect way to "leave your mark" on Woodford County history, or a way to memorialize or honor someone else.  These bricks also make great gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person who "has everything." We'll send a Certificate of Ownership for each brick to you or to the person you designate.

The minimum donation for each engraved brick is $100.

NOTE: The Woodford County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law.

How Your Donation will be Used
After deducting the cost of the brick, the engraving, and installation, your donation will be used to continue the programs and activities of the Woodford County Historical Society, including the daily operations of the Society's library and museum.

Certificate of Ownership
Each brick comes with a special Certificate of Ownership. The certificate will be sent to you or to the person you designate.

How To Make Your Brick Donation
You must complete an order form like the one below for each brick and bring or mail the form with your donation to the Woodford County Historical Society, 121 Rose Hill, Versailles, KY 40383.  

We require a minimum donation of $100 per brick. You may make a larger donation if you wish.

Each brick inscription may have up to three (3) lines of text with up to 20 characters per line.  Spaces and punctuation count as characters.  Below is an example of a brick engraving.

NOTE: Although bricks will be engraved and installed in a timely manner, the date of placement cannot be guaranteed due to the requirements of the engraver and the necessity to hire an outside contractor to install the bricks. Donors will be notified when their brick has been installed.
